Nutrition talk with my @jfvolleyball camp kids (1 group out of 4)!!! It’s never too early to speak to kids about the foundational principles of nutrition. How to limit processed foods - especially snacks; How to eat meals that are nutrient dense; How to supplement protein after workouts; importance of water; And what eating acidic foods do to your body in terms of inflammation production!!! Think about the opportunity you have to break a cycle of bad eating habits by starting with impacting kids. I needed this so bad when I was in middle school. My sugar addiction spiraled out of control as I got older! Like couldn’t go to sleep without it! Increasing consumption when I was stressed! People don’t understand that sugar is literally the most detrimental drug. Because it’s legal and because there is not enough information of how it causes diseases!!! Through my research of nutrition and application of my practices I realize that - a lot of us are mineral and protein deficient, and that is the reason we crave sugar (magnesium and L-Carnitine can help). I am blessed to have the opportunity to share this information with kids because leading them changes future generations!

My environment didn\'t \'make me,\' cause to say that it made me would mean that I would\'ve been exactly as my peer group in my environment (killers, jack boys, drug dealers, dead, imprisoned etc). My environment (upbringing) gave me something that was so valuable and priceless, it gave me leverage! That leverage was hunger, strength, fight, boldness, EXPERIENCE, WORK ETHIC, GRIT, DETERMINATION, opposition. It gave me everything that I needed to face criticism, hate, envy, naysayers, adversity which all comes with the territory of increased exposure and which all I\'ve dealt with over the years and I won every one of those battles with CONTINUED SUCCESS! This leverage was something I was able to use as soon as I discovered my passion and purpose in life and I prospered from it.
To think that I would\'ve never met my wife, never trained, inspired, pushed, or transform mentally nor physically one single person. To think that I would\'ve never experienced success, freedom and exposure. To think that I would\'ve never came in contact with some great people over the years and created lasting relationships with; ALL BECAUSE I WAS SUPPOSE TO BE DEAD IN 2010! This let me know yrs ago that God\'s plan will ALWAYS be far from my understanding and level of comprehension, but to always TRUST HIS PLAN!

Esto fue lo que cené ayer para aprovechar lo que quedaba en el refrigerador, pero también es una excelente opción de comida, súper fresca y mega deliciosa se los prometo que ese ceviche de quinoa está de lujo 🤤😍 me preparé dos tostadas @srcactus_oficial que ya saben que amooooo con aguacate 🥑 (era 1/4 pieza de aguacate pero como que estaba muy grande 🤣 pero ufff lo máximo!!!), le agregué unos ejotes con brócoli salteados con limón 🥦🍋, ceviche de pescado con pico de gallo 🐟 y un poco del ceviche de quinoa (quería dejar para comer hoy) con pico de gallo, mostaza, un poquito de soya, limón y aceitunas 🍅🌿 aquí la importancia de siempre agregar verduras en nuestras comidas, si se fijan se ve muchísimo volumen gracias a éstas 🙌🏼✨ luego les subo la receta completa del ceviche de quinoa, les gustaría? 🙋🏻‍♀️.

Diet sodas are popular beverages around world, especially among people who want to reduce their sugar or \'calorie intake\'
Instead of sugar, they are sweetened with artificial sweeteners like aspartame, cyclamate, saccharin, acesulfame-k or sucralose.
Almost every popular sugar-sweetened beverage on the market has a \'light\' or a \'diet\' version -- Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Pepsi Max, Sprite Zero, etc.
There has been many studies to show the cons and pros of diet sodas but most have been contraversial as some was funded by artificial sweetener companies and some by independant companies (if you get what I\'m saying)
Sugar was never the enemy, too much sugar was. Artificial sweeteners is also not the enemy, high quantities of it is.
As with everything in life, moderation is key.
Aspartame has been linked to cancer and such but let\'s break this down... Following ingestion, aspartame is broken down in the digestive tract to form aspartic acid, phenylalanine and methanol.
Science has shown that methanol can make you blind, phenylalanine can give some people seizures (IF you have a condition called PKU which occurs in 1 out of 10 000 people) and aspartic acid is a fuel for some cancers, but the amount in diet sodas is so minimal that it\'s not nearly enough to produce negative health outcome.
Did you know a glass of tomato juice contains 6 x more methanol, an egg contains 34 x more aspartic acid and red meat contains 16 x more phenylalanine?
If you seek to stay within a calorie deficit, diet sodas are great, as long as it\'s kept to a moderation. Don\'t always believe the craze...

This morning I got up the nerve to try making crepes after seeing a picture on Instagram (I swear this app is the best for recipe inspiration 😂). So I whipped some up this morning. Not exactly a quick process but so so so worth it!!! 💕
•
I made the batter using my all time favorite @kodiakcakes buttermilk pancake mix, which I made extra thin/runny and added some cinnamon to. I cooked them in a pan and spread out the batter until they were like very thin pancakes! Only took about 30 seconds to cook through.
Now for the fun part: the fillings😍😍
I went to town with all the healthy goodness you see here (looks/tastes super decadent but is still good for you!!) Inside the crepes is @chobani plain 0% yogurt mixed with a little @navitasorganics unsweetened cacao powder, and sliced bananas 🍌. Then I simply folded them over and topped them with the most gorgeous @puremichigan strawberries @nunaturals cocoa syrup, @lakantosweetener 55% dark chocolate, @barneybutter creamy almond butter, and @salbachia seeds. •
Honestly heaven, and packed with whole grains, protein, fiber, antioxidants, and healthy fats. The whole thing only contains about 5 grams of sugar (added sugar, I don’t count natural sugars). •
I am not one of those people that believes in “cheat meals” or “cheat days.” I think when you pick one day or meal to completely pig out on it 1) leaves you bloated, feeling guilty/miserable, and mentally just plain sucks. And 2) it makes you rigid, It causes you to feel like these foods are off limits and something to be held on a pedestal of sorts (ultimately causing you to fear them). I believe strongly in 80/20, eating 80 percent Whole Foods, and 20% being not as strict about what you eat!
Now while this plate is not one to be considered the 20% category, it also shows that you can make things that are traditionally less nutritious super healthy and also taste just as good if not better! I generally like to choose the healthier version because it makes my body feel better, but I’m not going to forbid myself to go out for ice cream or something either! It’s called balance ⚖️ people!! 💫😉

NUTRITION. What you eat = fuel for your body. If you’re not getting the nutrients you need consistently then your body cannot perform optimally. Simple in concept, harder to put to action. .
When I was iron deficient and post babies, I WANTED to be physically active and feel good so I pushed and pushed to try to make it happen. I didn’t feel good, in fact, I usually felt worse bc my body could not keep up with the demands and nutrient deficiencies. .
Cue whole food nutrition via nutrient dense incapsulated produce + whole food, clean protein and it has made ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD. 👏🏻😭🤩
I DO have energy to enjoy my girls ALL through the day and not have an afternoon crash.

Instrucciones:
Coloque la cúrcuma, el jengibre, el plátano y la piña en la licuadora y mezcle hasta que esté suave, deteniéndose para raspar los lados de la jarra según sea necesario.

Most people discard the papaya seeds, but they are one of nature’s most powerful foods to prevent/eliminate parasites 😵🦗

🚨 TESTIMONY 🚨 \'Before starting my fitness journey I was stressed, and plagued with many health complications from insomnia to hypertension. 5 months later I can truly say God has blessed me beyond measure. I feel I have a new life without hypertension, stress and I sleep wonderfully. I was asked to give three sentences but when you feel and look good your testimony becomes more. I started my fitness journey with Yoga to battle my stress issues which caused all my health problems. The more relaxed I became the more I wanted. I kept going back for more. I was seeking a more sound body, mind, and soul through meditation. I knew I could connect more with God if I had inner peace. That started with taking time for myself. I decided to pushed a step further and began working out with Varian 4 times a week and I feel great. Many may think this would be selfish but it\'s quite the opposite. Now I can be a better wife, mother, and mentor. Recette pour 1 Cake :.
> 3 Bananes bien mûres,
> 2 œufs + 1 Blanc d’œuf,
> 50g de poudre de Noisettes.
> 100g de Farine semi-complète,
> 50g de Fécule de Maïs,
> 1/2 sachet de Levure Chimique,
> 1 Pincée de Bicarbonate,
> 1 Pincée de Sel,
> 25g de Chocolat Noir fondu,
> 75g de Chocolat Noir coupé en morceaux,
> 20g de Noisettes coupées en morceaux.
Toppings :.
> 30g de Chocolat Noir Fondu,
> 20g de Noisettes concassées.
1/ Dans un Blender, Mixer les Bananes avec les Œufs.
2/ Verser la Préparation dans un saladier et Ajouter la Poudre de Noisettes, la Farine, la Levure, le Sel, le Bicarbonate.
3/ Bien Mélanger puis Ajouter le Chocolat Fondu, les Pépites de Chocolat et les Noisettes concassées.
4/ Bien Mélanger puis Verser la préparation dans un moule à cake recouvert de papier sulfurisé,
5/ Enfourner à 180 degrés pendant 30-45 minutes.
6/ Laisser Refroidir le Cake puis le napper de Chocolat et Parsemer les Noisettes sur le Chocolat fondu. Laisser Cristaliser le Chocolat avant Dégustation... Un Délice 😋
