It sucks when you don't see changes. Especially when you feel like you've been on point with your diet and workouts. Now you might be asking yourself 'is this really worth it?' YES, it is worth it. Here's some advice that can help you get back into that positive mindset: ✅ Instead of thinking 'Wins & Losses' think 'Wins & Lessons.'
You're going to mess up. Everyone does. Even I do it. The problem isn't the messing up part... it's your response to it.
A lot of people will overeat or skip s workout and get down on themselves. This happens more than a few times and then they're quitting.
What you should do is look at your mess ups as a learning experience. So if you mess up again, ask yourself why and how you can avoid making the same mistake in the future. ✅ Don't quit
Yes, I get it... we've all heard that saying. But it's true. If you refuse to quit, you're going to reach your goal. It's just going to take consistency and patience. ✅ Be honest with yourself.
There could be many reasons why you're not seeing progress.
- maybe you're not tracking your food properly.
- you're not being patient enough
- you might be letting your weekends get out of control

Hi! 👋 I want to re-introduce myself since it’s been a year since I stepped on the competition stage...
So many things have changed since I originally created this IG account to track my NPC/IFBB competition prep and improvement season training, nutrition, and all the things that happen in between! BUT things have especially changed this last year since I have no plans of returning to the stage anytime soon! 😱
After my pro debut at the IFBB Portland Classic last year, I was nervous to put it out there that I wouldn’t be competing again anytime soon. I felt that a lot of my identity was wrapped up in me competing and that taking time away from the stage may look like I gave up or something. Tbh, I just needed a break from competing.
I didn’t start competing to make it pro or make it as a pro. I simply had the desire to learn what it took to transform my body in a way I desired through weight lifting, cardio, and training. Not only did I learn personally what it takes to achieve body recomposition, but I got certified in it, started a business coaching it, and ended up competing and placing successfully in many shows before turning pro in the sport as an all-natural athlete.
I don’t regret any of it. And I worked damn hard to accomplish what I did! But now I’ve transitioned to taking time away from competing because that’s what I want to do. By taking time away from the stage, I’ve allowed myself the time to focus on other things... Things I love like painting, music, training and loving my new puppy and other fur babies, traveling, expanding my business, and spending more quality time with friends and family.
It’s not that I couldn’t do any of this while I was competing, it’s just that there are only so many things you can do at the same time if you want to do them well and competing requires substantial time and effort.
In this new phase of my life I feel like I’m more at peace than I’ve ever been. I am so proud of what I’ve accomplished but also feel like I stepped away at the best time. I have more empathy and perspective than ever before and am loving living this fitness lifestyle I’ve created over the years!
