Workout:
10 rounds for time
4 Deadlifts #365
8 SHSPU
Tips:
-Work on body control. What I mean is, keep tension through your core, through the whole deadlift. You could call it tempo if you really wanted to. -explosive (faster) on the concentric phase: that means move the bar fast on the way up. That doesn’t mean rip it off the floor with a rounded back and bent elbows🤦‍♀️
- Control on the eccentric phase, meaning don’t let the bar take you for a ride on the way down. Keep tension and control the bar, even in the last few inches! It’s harder but so much better on building strength!
-*SUPER IMPORTANT* At the extension of the deadlift, make sure you are squeezing from your glutes and not pushing your knees forward and leaning back.
-I keep my focus on this when deadlifting, so when the time comes to move light weight fast, I won’t disengage my core unintentionally just to go faster.
-This is all important to remember when you are in the middle of the workout. Just like any movement, if we sacrifice technique and solid movement patterns for speed, we end up not improving in a healthy and stable way. -If you plan on doing this workout, pick a weight that is moderately heavy but you can successfully stay unbroken the whole time, while keeping control on the bar!

There's a reason that you chose the programme that you are currently on for the Open. All 3 programmes will make sure that you are in great shape for the Open. Remember each programme has a slight bias.

Example; if you struggle to build strength but keep your conditioning relatively well you shouldn't switch from the strength bias. We are going to peak your strength for the Open. Ride the wave that you are on, there are still more strength gains to be made and more conditioning will come in to the programme as we go into next block which is the preseason phase.⁣

It's best to stick out the programme that you are on till the end of the Open. This will give you a perfect overview of what your strengths and weaknesses are in relation to the rest of the World, Europe or your gym whichever you care about the most.💪

It was sooooo nice to have these two stop into the gym for a workout this morning!

They are visiting Arizona, from Canada and during the workout, I asked them if they were looking for a great breakfast place for after the workout and Terra mentioned that they were Isagenix users!

How exiting🤗!

We chatted about the new Tri -Release protein that will be available soon in the US... they have it in Canada already...and she said she absolutely loves it!
.
They travel with their products because is cheaper, easier AND it keeps them on track with proper nutrition when vacationing. .
As crossfitters, we agreed that this nutrition just makes sense!

You never know who you will meet in your life and I'm so blessed😇 to have met these two!

Tips:
-Work on body control. What I mean is, keep tension through your core, through the whole deadlift. You could call it tempo if you really wanted to. -explosive (faster) on the concentric phase: that means move the bar fast on the way up. That doesn’t mean rip it off the floor with a rounded back and bent elbows🤦‍♀️
- Control on the eccentric phase, meaning don’t let the bar take you for a ride on the way down. Keep tension and control the bar, even in the last few inches! It’s harder but so much better on building strength!
-*SUPER IMPORTANT* At the extension of the deadlift, make sure you are squeezing from your glutes and not pushing your knees forward and leaning back.
-I keep my focus on this when deadlifting, so when the time comes to move light weight fast, I won’t disengage my core unintentionally just to go faster.
-This is all important to remember when you are in the middle of the workout. Just like any movement, if we sacrifice technique and solid movement patterns for speed, we end up not improving in a healthy and stable way. -If you plan on doing this workout, pick a weight that is moderately heavy but you can successfully stay unbroken the whole time, while keeping control on the bar!
