What’s up, Achievers?! @jasonlpak here with a video on back friendly core exercises! It’s important to note if you’re experiencing some back pain, make sure to get it looked at by a PT! The exercises in this video are general recommendations, and a medical professional will be able to individualize their recommendations based on the context of your specific situation.

Having said that, we really like these 6 drills because they help to keep your back in a relatively neutral position. Over time, you’ll want to slowly introduce more motion but initially these should feel relatively “safe”.

Crunching, twisting, and flexing are all totally fine if you’re pain-free, but you might want to hold off on that sort of movement until your back calms down a bit. Once it does, you can slowly and conservatively add more and more movement and load! Here are the six drills:

1️⃣Supine marching: 6-8 each side
2️⃣Front plank: 15-30 seconds
3️⃣Bird dog: 6-8 each side
4️⃣Side plank: 15-30 seconds each side
5️⃣Crawling: 15-30 seconds

Plus it's fun to do and a good balance workout for both people. Jess is engaging a lot of core almost like a plank to keep herself straight and balanced throughout the movement. I'm using a lot of legs and arms to help out too.

Dała mi popalić. Uruchomiła mięśnie o których istnieniu zapomniałam 🤣
Kocham czwartki.
Po lekcji byłam #naładowana pozytywną #energią, więc padlam do domu jak burza.
Patrząc na męża rzuciłam 2 słowa 'dawaj, Pilates'🤣
Dziwnie na mnie popatrzył, ale rozłożyć matę i zaczął ćwiczyć. Oczywiście pod moim okiem 😍
Dzisiaj wrzucę 2 zdjęcia, 2 różne ćwiczenia, ale te same cele.

Förutom att se mer av fjärilen, bjuder jag på en övning för rumpa/core som är helt maaaagisk!! Det enda du behöver är något att vira ett gummiband runt, sen spänner du rumpan och magen och jobbar framåt och tillbaka med armarna. Övningen heter pallof press och kommer göra dig kungligt stark. Och som du ser: dagens gym är utomhus. Du kan göra övningen var du vill. Precis som sommar och semesterträning ska vara. I get asked regularly what are the best exercises to lose weight and the answer is that you don’t even need to exercise to lose body fat! (Seriously).

To lose fat, whether it’s from your arms, legs or that stubborn stomach fat, you have to be in a ➡️ calorie deficit ⬅️.

A calorie deficit is when you eat less than what your body needs to maintain your current body weight (these are called maintenance calories).

We then exercise to further put ourselves into a calorie deficit. So when it comes to choosing exercises to help you lose body fat, simply do exercises you enjoy so the process isn’t as boring😅.

There is no such thing as spot fat reduction. Meaning that if you do an ab workout, it doesn’t mean you’re going to lose body fat from your stomach, the calories you burn during any type of exercise will be spread across your whole body.

EXERCISE BENEFITS #8: CONDITION YOUR CORE- The Core Muscles are called “Core” because they are central in supporting posture and maintaining proper form during most activities and exercises. The goal of conditioning the core is to be able to tighten your core muscles while doing other exercises such as push-ups and chest or shoulder presses with weights. The Core Muscles include the Abs and Lower Back. The Abs include 4 muscle groups shown on the slide: External Abdominal Obliques, Rectus Abdominis, Transverse Abdominis, and Internal Abdominal Obliques. One of the best exercises to condition these muscles is the Plank shown on the upper right hand corner of the slide. Keep your legs straight and slightly open while supporting your body on your elbows for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Learn to breathe in shallow breaths in and out as you hold this position. The lower back should be level with your body as shown on the slide. By contracting the abs and lower back you will support your body so that there is less stress on the arms and shoulders as they lift or push weights or do push-ups. Sit-ups in many variations shown on the slide also build the Abs and lower back. Put a soft 8 inch (20 cm) ball on the floor behind the lower back to cushion the back as you lower your back toward the floor after rising with your abs contracted. You start with 10 to 20 repetitions and build up to 50 repetitions. Remember to have a Protein-Rich Shake within 30 seconds to 1 hour after exercising along with Balanced Nutrition and Healthy Active Lifestyle to get your Best Personal Shape!!!
