Failure is a big part of the process
Failure helps mould our future, you’re given a chance to improve upon past failings and learn from mistakes.
It of course is down to you as the individual to do something with that, having the ability to process, learn and succeed moving forward.
It builds a better version of you.
Failure becomes a problem when you don’t learn, this is insanity.
Albert Einstein once said “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.”
And it’s quite apt - As in the world of health and fitness, too often I’m told by those seeking help that they’ve repeatedly done the same thing and failed. Yo-yo’d even.
- Attempted a certain diet which had no effect
- Never vary their training routine
- Constantly failing and retrying, perhaps often with more intensity next time round
- Trying, failing, trying harder and failing again!
Here’s my advice if any of the above is ringing true.
1. Find a professional to help
Someone you can trust or looks reliable. It’s a rocky choice as nowadays everyone has an opinion on something health or fitness related, this doesn’t always mean they’re right 🤓
2. Try something new
It could promote you to find your sustainable path to results, in a new and exciting way. This personally remains true in my case, though is entirely my opinion 👍🏼
3. Finally, and most importantly, accept failure
Accept it with open arms, but do learn. Somewhere within most failures, leaves the longer path to success 🤘🏼
